Five questions: Professor Lindsey White
Being around the water ever since he was a child led Professor Lindsey White to a career researching marine biology.
We asked Lindsey five questions ahead of his Inaugural Professorial Address – he discussed his research on seaweeds and fisheries and the impact it has had.
“AUT is really growing its expertise in the aquaculture and fisheries space. We’ve recently become a participant in a huge cooperative research centre in Australia, the Blue Economy CRC, which is a 329-million-dollar research centre to take aquaculture offshore, and my hope is that we’ll continue to grow our capacity in aquaculture and fisheries at AUT.”
