Bolting into AUT Millennium
Olympic champion Usain Bolt will be at AUT Millennium today

The fastest runner of all time will be at AUT Millennium this afternoon to coach some of New Zealand’s best sprinters.

Usain Bolt, Olympic champion and world record holder for 100m and 200m is in New Zealand for one day only following his performance at London 2012 where he retained both his 100m and 200m titles.

With the 100m being the glamour event of any games, Bolt was the unrivalled star of the biggest sporting competition on the planet.

The Jamaican will be helicoptered into AUT Millennium before leaving for a session with New Zealand Breakers basketball team. He will then return to AUT Millennium where he will have a brief media session followed by the coaching session.

Known as much for his trademark victory salute as his lightning speed, the 26 year old attracts big crowds everywhere with his appeal transcending sport.

His world record for the 100m is 9.58s and his world record for the 200m is 19.19.
