AUT grad interns with the United Nations

In March, AUT alumnus Kaden Wilson is heading to New York to work with the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade's mission to the United Nations.

The three-month internship enables Kaden to play a key role in New Zealand's long-standing commitment to the United Nations.

Kaden graduated in December with a Master of Human Rights, after previously completing a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws at AUT.

He received his internship thanks to the Internz International Scholarships Programme, which provides AUT graduates with valuable international experience.

Along with his support of the New Zealand Mission, Kaden will also attend the 17th session of the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues.

This year’s theme explores the issue of indigenous people’s collective rights to lands, territories and resources.
